Shaolin Hung Gar Kung Fu was founded as a non-profit school to keep traditional Southern Shaolin martial arts and lion dance culture accessible in Vancouver — not gated behind franchise pricing.
Hung Gar traces its roots to the Southern Shaolin Temple, carried forward through generations of sifus. Our school continues that lineage directly, teaching the style as it was passed down rather than a modernized derivative.
Every membership dollar goes back into the school and troupe — space rental, equipment, costume upkeep, and community programming. There are no owners drawing income.
